Five Drops Bourbon

We pick locally grown sweet corn, fresh from our family’s fields, when it’s juices are at peak sweetness to make this passionately handcrafted Montana Bourbon. Our Southwest Montana sweetcorn is mashed with Central Montana grown and malted barley using pure Montana mountain water. Fiver Drops Bourbon is distilled on our custom-built pot stills and aged in charred, virgin American oak casks. The result is a smooth rich flavor and the memorable aroma of a true Montana Bourbon Whiskey. Grown and distilled in Montana.

Single Barrel, Bottled-in-Bond         Five Drops Bourbon

Bottled in Bond means this version of our Five Drops Bourbon was distilled from fresh sweet corn, in a single season, by our master distiller. This special annually released Bourbon was distilled on our custom-built pot stills and aged in charred, virgin American oak casks for more than four years, and bottled at 100 proof. The result is a smooth rich flavor and the memorable aroma of a true Montana Bourbon Whiskey. Each annual release is limited and unique.

Bourbon Barrel Rye Whiskey

Great Basin Wildrye is a grass that is native to Montana and the American West. It can grow to between three and six feet tall and can be spotted around our hometown of Bozeman if you know what to look for. Our Wildrye Rye is crafted by hand, one batch at a time, using carefully selected locally grown and malted rye and barley. It is finished in our Five Drops Bourbon barrels until its spicy but smooth character, with notes of vanilla, is just right. We then finish it with pure Montana mountain water. Like its namesake, Wildrye Rye is a unique part of Montana that you too can find, if you know what to look for.

Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon Barrel Rye Whiskey

This Bottled in Bond version of our Bourbon Barrel Rye Whiskey was distilled from Montana rye and Montana barley, in a single season, by our master distiller. This special, annually released Rye Whiskey was distilled on our custom-built pot stills and aged in our ex-Five Drops Bourbon casks for more than four years, and bottled at 100 proof. Each annual release is limited and unique.

The unmatched flavor of Montana’s famous Flathead Lake sweet cherries got its start more than 120 years ago. Many of the early cherry tree varieties planted here, such as the Lambert, were devastated in the “big Freeze” of 1989. Since then, Flathead Lake orchards have begun experimenting with newer cherry varieties that are more resistant to Montana’s unpredictable weather. Hence, Lambert cherries have become known as a “heritage” variety. As part of Wildrye Distilling’s Montana Heritage Spirit Collection, we have created a Special Reserve spirit we call EichenKirsch (German for: Oaken Cherry). We ferment Lambert cherries, fresh from Flathead Lake, with Montana beet sugar. This ferment is then distilled on our custom-built pot stills and rested for at least 4 years in oak. The resulting spirit presents the aroma of cherry followed by the complexity of palate found in finely matured whiskies and brandies. Each annual release is limited and unique.

Boss Tweed Old Tom Gin

Old Tom Gin originated in England and was popular in the mid 1800’s. Our carefully researched recipe uses a secret blend of aromatic botanicals to instill richness and depth in modern and classic cocktails alike. Boss Tweed Old Tom Gin’s golden color and slight sweetness come from a touch of oak and caramel. Boss Tweed gets its name from the 1875 Boss Tweed God Mine, located in the Tobacco Root Mountains above Pony, Montana, where wild juniper covers the landscape.

This version of our Boss Tweed gin is infused with fresh cucumbers, resulting in a deliciously delicate and bright spirit, perfect for martinis and gin and tonics, or whatever else strikes your fancy.

Queen Bee Honey Gin

Queen Bee Honey Gin combines a secret blend of aromatic botanicals and a touch of local, raw Montana honey. This honey gin expression is then finished in our ex-Bourbon barrels. This achieves a delicate balance of brightness, richness and depth. The result is a well-rounded and smooth honey gin that seamlessly combines the flavors of Montana to provide a rich and memorable experience. Just like the queen of the hive, this honey gin is the Boss!

Wildrye Premium Vodka

At Wildrye, we strive to produce distinctive small-batch spirits of the highest quality. In keeping with this philosophy, we distill our corn-spirit based vodka by hand, one batch at a time on our custom-built pot stills. Our vodka is then finished using the purest Montana mountain water, resulting in a spirit that is clean and smooth from the first sip to the last.

Montana Flathead Cherry Vodka

At Wildrye, we make our Montana Flathead Cherry Infused Vodka the old-fashioned way. First, we distill our corn-spirit based vodka by hand, one batch at a time on our custom-built pot stills. We then infuse our vodka with the finest fresh Montana-grown Flathead Valley Cherries. This all-natural cherry flavored vodka is then finished using pure Montana mountain water, resulting in a fruit-forward flavored vodka that is clean and smooth from the first sip to the last.

Ramsdell's Parrot Silver Rum

At Wildrye, we carry on the frontier tradition of making use of what we have. This reduces our carbon footprint and helps support Montana’s robust agricultural heritage. Ramsdell’s Parrot was the name of one of the earliest copper mines in Butte, Montana. Since we use Montana beet sugar to prepare our own Montana bRum (beet sugar rum!), we thoughts the name was fitting. After all, a parrot is not only a pirate’s best friend, but also the tool (usually made of copper) a distiller uses to measure the proof of spirits coming off the still.

Wildrye Apple Pie continues a Tennessee moonshiner’s tradition in Wildrye’s Montana style. Wildrye Apple Pie is handcrafted using corn spirits and fresh apple cider, natural spices and Montana honey. These all-natural ingredients combine to create a smooth and robust taste that is not too sweet. Drink it by itself, or in a cocktail. Either way, you have our word that it’s so good that after you’re done, you’ll want to eat the ice.
